What do you do when medications don’t work? This is the question that drove Dr. Brian Anderson to find and utilize exciting and new groundbreaking treatments to help countless suffering patients that had not received answers to their health problems elsewhere.

Dr. Anderson graduated from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA. From there, he attended Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX. Since graduating with his Doctorate of Chiropractic, Dr. Brian Anderson has spent hundreds of hours of post-graduate understanding in Functional Medicine, Functional Endocrinology, Functional Blood Chemistry and Nutrition, Functional Neurology, Neuronal Conduction Studies, Laserology, and Auriculotherapy. Recently, Dr. Anderson has become Board Certified in Integrative Medicine.

Following his training in Dallas, Dr. Anderson returned to his home state of New Jersey. As his practice grew, so did his scope of treatment. Dr. Anderson began his practice with predominantly treating musculoskeletal concerns and then moved into more complex multi-faceted condtions.

Today he sees patients who are dealing with Fibromyalgia, Peripheral Neuropathy, Vertigo, Dizziness, Balance Issues, Auto-immune conditions, Thyroid Disorders, Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy, ADD/ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Migraines, Restless Leg Syndrome, Post-Surgical Backs, all varieties of disc problems and Stenosis, Chronic Fatigue, along with other Chronic Pain syndromes, while sustaining musculoskeletal care.

Dr. Anderson draws from years of experience and educational background, making him particularly capable and excited to embrace the chronic condition patient. The individual experience of being a patient at Premier Health of Summit begins with one of the most extensive evaluations possible. A thorough patient history as well as an understanding of patient treatment goals is vital to the evaluation.

Once the analysis is finished and the patient is accepted into the program, Dr. Brian Anderson spends a considerable amount of time pouring over the patient history, exam findings, prior test results, bloodwork and patient end goals to develop a drug-free, neurologic, metabolic, and/or musculoskeletal (or a combined) approach to rectify or reduce the underlying cause of symptoms.

That concept bears repeating– the goal of care is not just to correct symptoms– it is, when possible, to determine and relieve the underlying complication, or mechanism of the symptoms. Part of the care includes home program methods that are focused on self-care, to greatly enhance improvement. This is truly a total embodiment of care as it involves reviewing all systems of the body and how they have ceased to integrate and “balance,” therefore creating the patient’s unique set of symptoms.

The mechanisms for chronic conditions are as distinct and intricate as the patients themselves. Dr. Anderson feels the typical diagnosis is a little too general for his purposes and he digs very deeply into what the patient is experiencing and which areas need improvement. With that in mind, he hopes to continue to build and offer the community a facility where patients receive evaluations and treatments based on their specific mechanisms and symptoms, not just their medical diagnosis.

Dr. Anderson feels incredibly blessed to be able to do this work and is grateful to have the ability to expand his knowledge of life and people. He is thankful every day to wake up and do what he loves: assisting people to get better. It is his ambition, his commitment.

Dr. Anderson lives in Chatham, NJ with his wife and four children.
